R&D Center
At Esan, which operates with the mission of exploring, producing, and presenting natural resources to the world in a way that is sensitive to people, the environment, and the future, research and development activities are given highly importance.
As of November 1, 2019, it has been officially declared an R&D Center by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye and continues to carry out value-adding projects. With the knowledge it has gained through its project portfolio, it aims to lead innovative and creative projects while serving today’s and future markets.
At the R&D Center, numerous studies are conducted with the goal of learning through collaboration and creating an ecosystem for the potential applications of minerals. Always open to cooperation with universities and industry, the R&D Center continues its work with a sustainable mining approach, focusing on the minerals and processes of today and the future.
Laboratories
In order to maintain the highest standards for our products, our laboratory was initially established to serve in the areas of sample preparation, chemistry, physics, and ceramics. With the expansion of our operations, it has since incorporated metallic minerals, ore preparation, and gold laboratories into its scope.
Today, we continue generating knowledge across seven advanced technology laboratories located in different sites. To ensure sustainable quality, our central laboratory has been accredited with the ISO 17025 Certification—obtained for the first time in the sector in Türkiye by Esan.
Our laboratory includes:
Sample Preparation
Chemistry Laboratory
Physics Laboratory
Gold Laboratory
Mineralogy Laboratory
Ceramics Laboratory
Polymer Laboratory
Paint Laboratory
Mineral Processing Laboratory
Mineral Processing
Esan adopts continuous improvement as a core principle by closely following developments in the industry and technology in the field of ore preparation and enrichment. Through R&D and applied studies carried out on metallic and industrial ores, knowledge and experience are continuously enhanced. In addition to new projects and the gains obtained from different ore types, projects aimed at utilizing reserves in the most efficient way are implemented through collaborations within the sector.
Material Science
At Esan, Material Science R&D activities focus on utilizing existing knowledge and infrastructure to closely follow sectoral and technological developments, with the aim of developing products and providing technical solutions.
While carrying out studies such as customer- and sector-based product development to serve today’s needs, efforts are also made to develop new products and processes that will address the needs and technologies of the future.
